Pros

The bullet, which can’t be seen unless you are really looking for it, has a standard one-touch button operation that makes it easy-to-use. It packs a decent punch for something so tiny, too, so it’s perfect for releasing a little tension in the shower before or after work. Or, if you prefer, it’s also amazing to use with a partner when you really want to get wet and wild. You can even use it as a body massager as well which makes for a full body experience.

Cons

The only con is that there are no instructions inside the box – but rather on the bottom of the box where most people wouldn’t think to look. The instructions are pretty simple – just open the bullet and remove a little plastic sheet from the battery to get it working, but again, something inside the box should state that. Pro tip: slide the bullet outside of the poof before you attempt to open it as it can be a little challenging to unscrew the top with all the mesh blocking your fingers.

Final Verdict

It’s hard to avoid the space puns when reviewing a toy called Nova, so we’re just going to get it all out of our system now: Blast off! Take a rocket to the orgasm zone! An explosion of pleasure awaits!

There, that’s better. Now we can get into the review.

The Basics and Not-So-Basics

The Nova is basically We-Vibe’s take on the rabbit-style vibrator, featuring dual vibrating heads — one for vaginal stimulation and one for clitoral stimulation.  We say “rabbit-style” because in the original dual-head vibrators, the smaller arm was often shaped like a rabbit with ticky vibrating “ears.”

It’s sheathed in hot pink silicone, with a contrasting white silicone handle. The advertising copy says its waterproof and encourages you to take it into the bath or shower, and the silicone sheathing means you’re less likely to lose your grip while fooling around.

How it Works

Each head’s vibration pattern and strength can be independently controlled either by buttons on the toy’s handle or via the We-Connect smartphone app. There are dozens of pattern variations to play with. The shorter clitoral arm is highly flexible, allowing it to stay in contact with your tender parts even as you move around. It also delivers consistently stronger vibrations than the g-spot arm.

The Nova isn’t quite “whisper-quiet” as advertised, but it’s still pretty low-noise. Especially compared to other toys on the market, so no worries that your neighbors might catch on to what you’re doing (although your moans of pleasure might still give it away).

(It does take a full 90 minutes to recharge, though.)

Like other We-Vibes, you can sync this up to your smartphone via a downloadable app.  You can only sync up one We-Vibe toy at a time to the app, and the sync process can sometimes be a little tricky. But once you’re hooked up, you also have the option of letting your long-distance lover (whether they’re a room away or across the country) control your toy. It makes cam dates much more entertaining, I bet.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been looking for a classier version of the classic rabbit vibe – or one that was waterproof – look no further. Nova is the toy you’ve been waiting for. If you find multiple points of stimulation more distracting than satisfying, or if you’re looking for deep, focused G-spot stimulation, the Nova probably isn’t for you.

Sex Toys Reviewed – We Vibe Ditto Toy Review

If you or your partner(s) love anal play, a vibrating butt plug is a must-have. If you can invest in a remote-control vibrating butt plug, even better. The Ditto by we-Vibe is a cute little plug, available in deep purple or midnight blue, with a classic bulb-and-stem shape for the insertable portion. One side of the bulb is fairly flat and the other is plump and curved. Use the curved side to provide extra stimulation to your prostate, if you have one, or your g-spot if you don’t. The stem is attached to a comfy, surfboard-shaped base that nestles securely in the crack of your ass. This contoured base shape is a vast improvement over many cheaper butt plug models that often feature a simple and not-so-cozy round base. (And you do know not to use any anal toy that does not have a flared base at all, right? Not unless you want the entire staff at your local ER to know all about your hot date earlier that evening, anyway.)

The Ditto has no batteries, which means no battery compartment, which means it’s easier to make this toy truly waterproof. It recharges via a USB cord that attaches magnetically to a port on the underside of the base. The magnetic charger is smart in theory, but in practice it is easily dislodged, so you might want to find a safe and level place to recharge your toy – not a narrow bedside table, in other words. The Ditto holds its charge for approximately two hours.

Hopefully the We-Vibe will consider scaling up for future toy releases.

Like all We-Vibe products, you can sync up the Ditto with an app on your phone. As far as I can tell, in close range the app merely duplicates the functions of the handheld remote. If you have a long-distance lover that you like to video chat with, however, you might get a lot of fun out of fiddling with the pastel wave patterns displayed on the We-Vibe app and watching your partner’s reactions as the sensation in their ass changes according to your whim. Do keep in mind, though, that you can only sync up one We-Vibe toy at a time to the app, at least for now.

If you’re looking for a classy vibrating plug to introduce yourself or someone else to anal play, the Ditto is definitely worth checking out. It’s pricier than many non-vibrating “beginner” butt plugs, but the cost reflects its thoughtful design and suite of features. It’s ideal target are “eager, but shy” folks who already know they like some back-door stimulation but aren’t quite ready for the big toys.
